Bakersfield California was the birthplace of a specific sound in country music. It was gritty, battle worn, and had a little more of a bad-boy attitude. Playing off of those characteristics and the elevated Mexican menu, I developed a graphic system that conveys authenticity and heritage. Each location was given it’s own unique focal mural. Each one highlighting the special history of each city Bakersfield moved into, centering on the historical brewing and landmarks in them.
I worked with my clients at the Thunderdome Restaurant Group, to build off of the materials in the space to create a color palette that enhanced the already amazing interior design.
